Mission

The mission of the Growl Prowl is to raise funds from the community in order to help provide the basic needs for living and for learning that a growing number of Linn-Mar children lack.

About the 5K Run/Walk

The Linn-Mar Growl Prowl 5K Run/Walk, Youth Mile Run, and Kids' Fun Run provides an opportunity for everyone in the family to participate. The event is both for runners and walkers.

The Growl Prowl 5K Run/Walk event is debuting on September 20th, 2008. Participants are asked to park in the Linn-Mar High School parking lot and walk on the trail by Armstrong Field to get to the start of the race. The race will begin in the Indian Creek parking lot and finish inside Armstrong Field on the Linn-Mar campus in Marion, Iowa. The course is out and back, wheel-measured, flat, and fast.

Participants will receive a t-shirt and complimentary refreshments following at Armstrong Field.

Awards will be presented to the top male and female overall finishers. An award will also be presented to the top three finishers in each age group: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
